Il progetto “La Toscana di Boccaccio: itinerari culturali nel paesaggio toscano attraverso il Decameron”, si propone di ricostruire, tramite l’analisi del Decameron, i paesaggi del Trecento, paesaggi espressivi di un forte valore identitario e vivacemente evidenziati da Giovanni Boccaccio. Come viene evidenziato nel Piano Integrato della Cultura 2008-2010 al punto 2.2 : “ Le risorse e le attività culturali rappresentano per la Toscana un fattore costitutivo essenziale e fondante della stessa identità regionale, un identità costruitasi nel tempo attraverso vicende storiche che hanno segnato profondamente il territorio regionale, lasciando come traccia una ricchezza unica in termini di beni culturali e testimonianze artistiche”
